Task 4- Independent Film Research

The Riot Club
The distribution company was universal pictures. They only made one film poster for the film which seems a little bit strange if your wanting to try and advertise it as much as possible. The film was released on the 19th September 2014. And released on 18th August 2015 for DVD.

The production company that worked with the film was BluePrint Pictures.

Within the film there are zero special effects. This is probably because they were working with a small budget and if theu were to spend loads on some special effects then they would have to make cuts elsewhere in the film.

The film was shot in several different UK locations. A large chunk of the filming was shot in Oxford.

Director: Lone Scherfig
Producer:Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin

$2,596,114 in the worldwide box office
$28,298 in DVD sales

A trailer was released online on the 16th May 2014 and to date it has over 1.8 million views.

  1. An independent film relies on its poster, website, film reviews ahd press interviews as well as award nominations and festivals. Could you please upload these for The Riot Club?
